Pecan Chocolate Sheet Cake

- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cocoa shopping list
- 2 eggs well beaten shopping list
- 1 teaspoon soda shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- Chocolate Frosting: shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine shopping list
- 3 tablespoons cocoa shopping list
- 6 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 1 box powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- Put flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon in large bowl of mixer.
- In saucepan put margarine, shortening, water and cocoa.
- Bring to a boil and pour over flour mixture.
- In another bowl put eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla.
- Add to preceding mixture and beat well then pour into prepared sheet pan.
- Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
- To make frosting mix margarine, cocoa and milk in saucepan.
- Heat over low heat but do not boil.
- Remove from heat.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla and pecans.
- Mix well and put on cake as soon as removed from the oven.
- Cut cake into squares to serve.
