Jon's Hungarian Stuffed Peppers

- 4 Hungarian "banana" peppers, cut open and de-seeded shopping list
- 1 lb. Hungarian sausage (hot or mild; we used mild) shopping list
- 1 cup cooked white rice shopping list
- 1 cup (or more) grated cheese - we used a blend of mozzarella, Monterey jack, parmesan reggiano, and pepper jack. shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Slice open the peppers lengthwise and remove seeds; set aside.
- Mix together the sausage and rice.
- Stuff each pepper with 1/4 of the sausage/rice mixture and place in baking dish.
- Bake for about 1 hour then sprinkle the cheese mixture over top.
- Return to oven and bake until cheese is melted and internal temperature of sausage is 160 degrees F
