Braised Herb Pork Chops

- 1/4 cup dried parsley flakes shopping list
- 2 tsp. paprika shopping list
- 1 tsp rubbed sage shopping list
- 1 tsp dried thyme shopping list
- 1 tsp ground mustard shopping list
- 1 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano shopping list
- 4 bone-in pork loin chops (1" thick each) shopping list
- 2 tbsp olive or other oil shopping list
- 1 thinly sliced onion shopping list
- 4 large garlic cloves, sliced shopping list
- 5 carrots, cut into 2 inch pieces shopping list
- 1 14-oz. can chicken broth shopping list
- Hot mashed potatoes shopping list
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the first eight ingredients; rub over both sides of chops. In a Dutch Oven, brown chops in oil for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside. In the same pan, saute onions and garlic for a couple minutes. Add carrots and broth. Bring to a boil, reduce heat.
- Return chops to pan. Cover and bake at 325 for 1-1/2 - 2 hours or until meat and vegetables are tender. Thicken pan juices for gravy if desired. Serve with potatoes. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
