Whole Wheat Pizza Crust
Ingredients
- 2 envelopes active yeast
- 1 1/4 C. water (100-110 degrees)
- 1 3/4 C. white flour
- 1 1/4 C. whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 C. canola oil
- Olive oil
How to make it
- Combine yeast, warm water, and sugar in measuring cup. Cover and set aside.
- Combine flours,and salt in large bowl.
- Add yeast mix, oil, and mix until dough forms.
- Knead on floured surface for 3 min.
- Shape into ball and place in olive oil coated bowl, covering with oiled plastic wrap, and allow to rise until double.
- Punch down and divide into halves. (Place 1/2 of dough on oiled plastic wrap and freeze)
- Roll out the 1/2 recipe into large pizza pan, add toppings, and bake at 400 degrees until cheese melts, and toppings are cooked.
