Stuffed Banana Peppers

- 12 banana peppers shopping list
- 1 Small tomato, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Onions, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/4 Cup Sweet relish (hotdog relish) shopping list
- 1/4 Cup Green pepper, chopped fine shopping list
- 1/8 Teaspoon Salt shopping list
- 1/8 Teaspoon Pepper shopping list
- 2 Cups Finely grated cheddar cheese shopping list
- 12 slices bacon (or as needed, depending upon size of peppers) shopping list
- Dill Dip or Dill Sauce (See below) shopping list
- For Dill Dip: shopping list
- 16 Ounces sour cream shopping list
- 8 Ounces Mayonnaise shopping list
- 1 tablespoon Dried dill shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes shopping list
- 1 teaspoon minced onion shopping list
- Garlic powder (or pressed, fresh garlic), to taste shopping list
- For Dill Sauce: shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Mayonnaise shopping list
- 1 Teaspoon Dried dill shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons Finely chopped dill pickle shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
- 2. Mix the filling ingredients together.
- 3. Parboil the peppers for easy filling; perhaps 4-5 minutes, just slightly less firm.
- 4. Leaving the tops on the peppers, slice each one open, lengthwise.
- 5. Remove the seeds.
- 6. Stuff each pepper with the filling.
- 7. Wrap each pepper with bacon.
- 8. Bake at 400F for 35 minutes.
- 9. Serve with Dill Dip or Dill Sauce.
- For the dip or sauce:
- Combine and chill. Best made the night before using.
