How to make it

  • Fill med size pot with water
  • Add a dash of salt and bring to a boil
  • Add asparagus and cook for two o three minutes
  • Remove from heat, drain and place in cold water bath to stop cooking
  • In large skillet, melt butter over med heat
  • Add mushrooms and sauté until tender, about three minutes
  • Stir in cracked black pepper and whipping cream
  • Cook over med heat for two minutes.
  • Add Parmesan cheese and reduce het to low
  • Continue to cook another minute or two
  • Stir in asparagus and green onion and cook one minute
  • Serve over toast, cooked rice or cooked pasta!
  • Sprinkle with a little more Parmesan if desired
