Asparagus In Mushroom Cream Sauce

- 1pound asparagus, trimmed shopping list
- 1stick butter shopping list
- 8ounces sliced mushrooms shopping list
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions shopping list
- 1pint heavy cream shopping list
- Dash cracked black pepper shopping list
- 1 cup shaved parmesan cheese shopping list
- salt shopping list
How to make it
- Fill med size pot with water
- Add a dash of salt and bring to a boil
- Add asparagus and cook for two o three minutes
- Remove from heat, drain and place in cold water bath to stop cooking
- In large skillet, melt butter over med heat
- Add mushrooms and sauté until tender, about three minutes
- Stir in cracked black pepper and whipping cream
- Cook over med heat for two minutes.
- Add Parmesan cheese and reduce het to low
- Continue to cook another minute or two
- Stir in asparagus and green onion and cook one minute
- Serve over toast, cooked rice or cooked pasta!
- Sprinkle with a little more Parmesan if desired
