How to make it

  • Slice peppers from about 1/2 inch below the stem to the end on one side, only.
  • Carefully scoop out the seeds and ribs from each pepper.
  • Grill the sausages and the peppers over medium high coals until peppers are softening and lightly charred and sausages are done.
  • Place one sausage into each pepper then put it in a bun.
  • Top with shredded cheese, onion and other toppings as desired.

What a creative hot dog! I have some long peppers growing in my garden that are kinda yellowish, I know they aren't banana peppers, but can't remember what they are called either...they are slightly spicy, may use them for this!!
