Rotisserie Style Chicken

- 2 tsp paprika shopping list
- 2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1 tsp dried thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp white pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cayenne powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 onion, quartered shopping list
- 2 fryer chicken (around 4 lbs each) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix seasoning and cover chickens with it.
- Place onions inside chickens.
- Wrap with plastic wrap and place in freezer bags.
- Put in fridge over night.
- Preheat oven to 250 F.
- Place chickens in roaster and bake, uncovered, for 4-5 hours, depending on size of chickens. I usually start to check around 3.5 hours just to be sure! Make sure internal temp is up to 180 F.
- Let sit for 10 min before carving.

What a great way to cook a whole chicken without the high heat splatter!! I put this in on my lunch hour and came home at 5:00 to a perfectly cooked, moist chicken. A bit more in IMI. 4/18/15

Excellent blend of spices and herbs! The only thing I did different was cook mine in the crockpot. The skin doesn't get crispy but living in SW Florida it's a better cooking option for me especially this time of year. I rolled up balls of tin foil so...more
