Tangy Chicken Thighs In A Crock Pot

- 1 14oz can diced tomatoes, with liquid shopping list
- 6 oz can tomato paste shopping list
- 1 medium onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 cups carrots, diced/sliced shopping list
- 1 tbsp dried basil shopping list
- 1 tsp dried oregano shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme shopping list
- 1/2 tsp rosemary, crumbled shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed shopping list
- 1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground shopping list
- 1/2 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs, fat trimmed shopping list
- 2 tbsp orange zest, divided shopping list
- 2 tbsp lemon juice shopping list
- 4 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- Combine first 12 ingredients & half of orange zest in crock pot. Mix thoroughly. Nestle chicken thighs in mixture. Cook on low for 6 hours, until chicken is cooked through. Stir in lemon juice and remaining orange zest. Sprinkle with bacon & serve.
