Ingredients
- 1 Can of Roman beans shopping list
- 4-5 sprigs of cilantro (divided) shopping list
- 1/4 tsp Dry Dominican oregano shopping list
- [SAUCE SEASONING] shopping list
- 1 tbsp of canola oil shopping list
- 1 tbsp. tomato paste shopping list
- 2 tbsp Recaito(see my recipe) shopping list
- 1 tsp. Dominican Condiment(see my recipe) shopping list
- 1 tsp of olives w/ Pit shopping list
- 1 package of Goya Sazon w/ Culantro & Achiote shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp onion powder shopping list
How to make it
- Open up can of beans
- In medium saucepan over medium heat add the beans with 2 1/2 cans of water(use the can the beans came in)
- Add 2 sprigs of cilantro and the oregano.
- Boil for 20 minutes.
- In a small frying pan over medium heat add the oil and the tomato paste and the rest of the seasonings.
- Add 2 tbsp of the bean water to the seasoning mixture and saute for a few minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Add this seasoning to the beans.
- Lower the heat of the beans and cook until the beans are nice and thick.(not that thick though, you want some sauce)
- Add 3 sprigs of cilantro at the end to give it more taste
- Add salt to taste
- Serve hot
- TIP: Add pieces of Squash or potatoes diced in pieces or
- pieces of smoked ham this brings the flavor to another level.
