How to make it

  • Fry the bacon and remove to paper towels to drain.
  • Saute the onion in a small amount of the bacon drippings, add the spinach (rinsed and with water clinging to the leaves) and cook until wilted. Remove spinach mixture from pan, reserving cooking liquid.
  • Add the cream cheese (cubed) to the liquid in the pan and stir until melted. Mix in worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, tabasco sauce, and cheese. Stir in spinach mixture and, if necessary, add milk to thin to the proper dipping consistency. Add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Stir in the crumbled bacon, use some for a garnish if desired.
  • Serve with Wheat Thins crackers.
