Bacon Cheeseburger Sos

- 2# ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 large onion diced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon worchestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 tablespoon steak seasoning, I used Montreal shopping list
- 8 slices (thin sliced) bacon cooked and diced shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 3 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon powdered mustard shopping list
- 4 cups milk shopping list
- 1 red pepper, finely diced shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke (hickory) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika shopping list
- 16 ounces white or sharp cheddar, shredded shopping list
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt shopping list
- fresh black pepper shopping list
- hamburger buns shopping list
How to make it
- Brown ground beef with onions, worchestershire sauce, and steak seasoning.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook until onions are translucent, about 10 minutes.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pot, melt 3 tablespoons of butter.
- Whisk in the flour and mustard and keep it moving for about five minutes.
- Make sure it's free of lumps.
- Stir in 3 cups of the milk, red pepper, liquid smoke, and paprika.
- Simmer for ten minutes.
- Stir in the cheese, and add the last cup of milk as necessary.
- Continue to cook until sauce is smooth & creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine with beef mixture, add crumbled bacon and keep warm.
- Toast burger buns.
- Ladle mixture over bread and serve.
