How to make it

  • In a large bowl,cream the shortening and both of the sugars until light and fluffy
  • Beat in the eggs
  • Combine the flour and the baking soda
  • Gradually add to the creamed mixture
  • Mix well
  • Stir in the potato chips and the butterscotch chips
  • Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets
  • Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown
  • Cool for 1 minute before removing to wire racks
