Bean Counter Chowder

- 1/2 c chopped onion shopping list
- 1 Tbs canola oil shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves,minced shopping list
- 1 med.tomato,chopped shopping list
- 2 cans (14-1/2 oz.ea) chicken or vegetable broth shopping list
- 1-3/4 c water shopping list
- 1/2 tsp each dried basil,oregan and celery flakes shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 3 cans (15-1/2 oz. ea) great northern beans,rinsed and drained shopping list
- 1 c uncooked elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1 Tbs minced parsley shopping list
How to make it
- In large saucepan,saute onion in oil until tender;add garlic;cook 1 min longer. Add the tomato;simmer for 5 mins. Add the broth,water and seasonings. Bring to boil;cook for 5 mins. Add beans and macaroni;return to boil.
- Reduce heat;simmer,uncovered for 15 mins or till macaroni is tender. Sprinkle with parsley.
