Singapore Fried Rice

- peanut oil shopping list
- One egg (cracked) shopping list
- 1 clove of garlic finely chopped shopping list
- 1 green chilli very, very finely chopped shopping list
- Two cups of pre cooked (steamed) jasmine rice (left in fridge overnight) shopping list
- A 1/4 each of yellow, green and red pepper "julienned" shopping list
- A generous pinch of salt,sugar and msg (msg optional) shopping list
- 6 cooked king prawns (each cut into 3) pre cooked chicken can also used shopping list
- 1/4 cup of frozen peas shopping list
- 1 level tsp of chilli powder (more if you like the heat) shopping list
- 1 level tsp of curry powder (Malay) if you can get it shopping list
- 1 tsp of light soy sauce shopping list
- 2 spring onions chopped diagonally for garnish shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the oil in a wok
- Add the egg and stir fry 30 seconds appx
- Add garlic and chilli all the time stir frying
- Add the rice keep stir frying
- Add the 3 coloured julienned peppers
- Add salt, sugar and msg
- Add the prawns
- Add the peas
- Add the chilli powder
- Add the curry powder
- Add the soy sauce
- Add the spring onions
- "Make sure you give 30 seconds of stir frying after each ingredient has been added"

Fantastic, omited the peppers and prawns and made my own malay powder from http://www.food.com/recipe/bo-kaap-cape-malay-curry-powder-south-african-spice-mixture-289383 was well worth the effort :D
