How to make it

  • To skin tomatoes add boiling water into pot and let boil till skins peel off. Peel and continue with the recipe.
  • Soak tomatoes and onions in pickling salt. Drain and put into a large pot. And remaining ingredients; cook until thickened. Spoon into hot jars and seal with hot lids. Cover with a towel until cooled.
  • Makes 3 pints

    I did alot for when I had a 50 tomate patch..I had humungous...to make...really good~I added more cayenne as my kids like it spicy~
