Peanut Butter Pie

- Filling; shopping list
- 1/3 cup peanut butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 9" pie shell (baked) shopping list
- 1/3 cup self-rising flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 cups scalded milk shopping list
- 3 egg yolks (beaten) shopping list
- 2 tsp. butter shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- Meringue; shopping list
- 3 egg whites shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. Cream of Tarter shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. cornstarch shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Blend peanut butter and powdered sugar until mealy. Sprinkle 2/3 mixture in baked pie shell. Combine flour, sugar and stir into scalded milk, w/butter and vanilla. Cook until starting to thicken. Mix small amount of liquid into beaten egg yolks and to milk mixture. Cook until thickened to a pudding consistency. Pour into shell.
- Beat egg whites until still, add cream of tarter, sugar and cornstarch until stiffen peaks. Top w/remaining prowdered sugar and peanut butter mixture.
- Bake @350 f 15 minutes or until slightly browned.
