Great toy for my 4 year old grandson

2 n 1 Dig Rig truck

Great toy for my 4 year old grandson. He is all about digging in the sand, dirt and rocks and this truck is perfect for him! It is bigger than I thought it would be. It makes about 6 different sounds activated by buttons or levers which are very easy to use. The levers move the scoop and the dump truck portion. There are buttons to go forward and back marked by arrows with the direction of travel. There is also a start button with a starter sound. Lights on the cab of the truck go on when any of the buttons are used. There is a switch on the bottom of the truck near the battery compartment that has an off, on and test battery. It does come with test batteries but suggests you replace with 3 AA alkaline batteries. The battery compartment is closed with a screw for safety. The tires seem to have enough tread to work in gravel, we haven’t tried anything else yet. The packaging says the dump portion will hold and dump up to 8 pounds. The entire truck seems to be made of fairly sturdy plastic except for the screws and probably the battery compartment. I would definitely say to buy this toy if you have a little one who likes trucks and playing in the dirt and sand. I know it will get a lot of use at my house.

I got this Maxx Action 2 in 1 dig rig dump truc and front end loader toy vehicle for my son who is turning 4 next week. Since he was little he loved to play with rocks, sticks, and dirt and I thought this was perfect. I have 3 little boys and I had the oldest gift this to the middle son who was over the moon. He loved the sound it makes, how it goes on its own and he got to enjoy it outside with his oldest and youngest brother. They stacked some rocks and sticks and had a blast. I was impressed how well it held out as my 3 boys do not go easy on their toys. The boys also love taking this truck to the park with sand and play with their friends. Even my 15 month old loved playing with his big brother's truck. I'm using the truck to teach him forward and backwards, dig, dump and drive. Fun way to teach new words to the younger sibling. While oldest uses his imagination and creates a whole imaginary scene while the boys play. Overall, a great toy that seems to last a while. Made from quality construction and very easy to replace batteries if needed. The buttons are a good size for a good grip of children's hands and work well.

Noisy moving and fun

If you have a kid who loves vehicles (and isn't sensitive to loud noises) you -need- this truck. My four year old was dancing around me excited to break it out the second she saw it, and has been playing with it non-stop for days now. She loves literally everything about it.

For the parents- It has three buttons and two levers on the side that control it. One lever can raise and lower the scoop, the other the back. Both go up and down, but it is easier to move them down than up. You can actually scoop things and dump them into the back of the truck, and then dump them from the truck to wherever you like. Both parts have a wide range of motion. The buttons control the trucks movement. It will go forward or backwards but you can't really control it once the buttons been pressed. And it's loud. This thing makes noise non-stop while you play with it. It feels like it will hold up to moderate rough handling.
