Use Google Wallet for transportation

How to add a transit pass to Google Wallet

You can purchase, store, and use digital copies of transit passes for participating public transport systems.

For some public transport systems, you can use Google Wallet to pay for transportation at the fare terminal with a supported credit or debit card saved to your phone. For others, you can purchase or save a transit pass to Google Wallet and use it at the point of entry.

Google Wallet doesn't work with all public transport systems. For more info, check your public transport system's website.

Pay for transportation

Important: If you switch accounts in Google Wallet, the Suica or PASMO card in your Google Account will be deactivated. Make sure to switch your account in Google Wallet only after you exit the station ticket gate, or after you get off a bus.

You can use Google Wallet to pay for transit with your Suica or PASMO card anywhere they’re accepted. Just hold your phone to the terminal where you would normally put your card.

If you haven’t used Google Wallet to pay for transit, learn how to add Suica and PASMO cards.

If you have switched accounts, you must add your Suica or PASMO card back to Google Wallet. To do so, sign in to Google Wallet with your previous Google Account and retrieve your transit IC card in the Osaifu Keitai app. Once done, follow the steps to add a Suica or PASMO card to Google Wallet.

Commuter passes and green tickets purchased through the mobile Suica or PASMO app appear in the Google Wallet app.
