Amazing read. This was the first tour I watched on channel 4 as a 13 year old and was instantly hooked. 33 years later and I have never missed one. This story takes me back and has answered so many questions.....I think. Must buy for all cycling fans.

Amazing - I remember watching it on tv as it happened, reading this brought it all back, like it was happening again. Top read.

A superb book that really puts you in to the heart of a titanic battle between two of the greats. Highly recommended.

About the author

Richard Moore is a freelance journalist and author. His first book, In Search of Robert Millar, won Best Biography at the 2008 British Sports Book Awards. His second book, Heroes, Villains & Velodromes, was long-listed for the William Hill Sports Book of the Year. He writes on cycling and sport and is a regular contributor to the Guardian, Sky Sports and The Scotsman. He is also a former racing cyclist who represented Scotland at the 1998 Commonwealth Games.
