About this ebook

The tenants never saw it coming.

The Murray building, constructed in the seventies by the eccentric billionaire, Samuel Murray, contains a secret so horrific and abhorrent that those caught up in it might not see the light of day ever again.

Time is ticking.

Only one person can win the War Game and walk away with $100 million in cash.

Who dies? Who lives? Who is the real villain? What is the building’s biggest secret, and why do only a select few know about it?

War Game is a brutally maniacal thriller with enough plot twists to make your stomach churn. There’s violence, murder and buckets of blood!

Can you predict the outcome?

About the author

Renier Palland was born in South Africa, but received American citizenship through his PhD degrees in the fields of Sociology, Film and Epidemiology, among others. (His agent advised against listing all of his academic achievements, “because hubris doesn’t sell well”)

Well into his early-30’s, Renier had already accomplished an abundance of daring literary feats, most notably War Game’s spin-off being optioned for an Amazon Prime mini-series, his debut poetry book garnering critical acclaim, and the first book of the War Game trilogy being lauded by critics as “the book of year.” This, along with numerous other writing accolades, gave him the courage to always challenge the status quo through his writings.

Renier enjoys waxing lyrical about the human condition, often referring to life as “a mess of beautiful contradictions”.

He is an activist, a fighter for justice and equality, and a proud member of several human rights organizations.

Alleviate the suffering of all living beings, even at the expense of one’s own suffering.
