This book was conceptualized and published in a very short period. Time was of essence given the situation of Corona pandemic across the world and the way it is affecting education.

I am extremely grateful to all my friends and colleagues who have supported me with sharing their experiences of the transformational process being used at their work places.

The support of my wife Dr. Savita Singh who is a government school teacher in K12 education was of immense value. Experience shared by my two sons, Shikhar and Uddhav, who are right now experiencing the shift from regular classes to online classes was of great help.

My colleague Dr. Sunita Shukla who is Head of Management Department at ITS Engineering College shared some very important experiences of students as well as faculty members during the transition period to online teaching. My younger brother Dr. Ashish Kumar who is teaching at Amity University Jaipur helped me with his thoughts and ideas for student engagement chapter. My dear friend Dr. .Farhat Mohsin from Manav Rachna University helped me with her ideas about role that academic administrators should play to ensure effective teaching-learning process during the lockdown periods. Dr. Animesh from Sharda University was very supportive and brought out the experiences faced by their students and teachers in using Zoom for conducting lectures. I received amazing help from my father Sh. S. P. Singh in editing the manuscript in a very insightful way. This book would have been something very different without the support of these lovely people.

I am deeply grateful to colleagues from all over the country who shared their online experiences and how their students are coping with this sudden disruption in normal regular classroom education.
