Since I am new to meditation, Donna's book was wonderful. Although I have been to some wonderful places, I never managed getting around to meditation and the awareness it brings with it. One of the items I enjoyed about Donna's book is that it was filled with practical, useful material, rather than trying to bog me down in terms and technicalities that a beginner is not used to. It will find its way into my luggage as I travel across back country. I always enjoy the outdoors. With the exercises in this book, I believe that I'll be able to enjoy my travels even more. Becoming more mindful of your surroundings always opens up new adventures. Her simple approach to meditation is already helping improve my focus and awareness. She also wrote the book in a way that someone who is not well-versed in meditation can easily be on their way to learning how to use this valuable tool.

says there's about 45 pages to read free, takes to to page 2 and wants you to buy to read any further? If the sample is that poor, I have to guess the book is too

Meditation for Beginners is a great guide for anyone wondering why they should meditate, what meditation is and isn't, and to learn about different styles of meditation, so that they can choose a meditation style that best suits them. Clear, well-written, easy to read. I became more relaxed and more meditative just reading the book! I like how simple the author makes everything. If you want a book with great meditation basics, that makes it so easy you know that even you can try meditation, this is the one to get.
