if i could rate this lower I would. everything about this story was awful. the author, colleen hoover, is an awful person for even writing this. the painfully detailed scenes about child neglect and the attempt to actually kill her newborn daughter? disgusting. also a uneeded amount of straight-up porn too. i could find better writing on ao3 or wattpad, because colleen hoover will only ever be a fanfic author who got too far in life.

Curiosity is the reason I am here. Surely one that plays with your brain. The manuscripts of Verity was disgusting. Sick, vile you name it. An unconvincing end, but sure does define this book.

The plot twist at the end was the best part, it was nicely written but in this genre I expected sth to have me in a chokehold, it wasn't like that but considering the fact that the author usually doesn't write in the genre it was well written. An easy read overall but not sth I would go back to talk about or read again.
