Odette Bell is a new author for me and this honestly very captivating. I look forward to seeing what else she has written and love how she draws you into the story and keeps you hooked like being in a movie theater on the edge of your seat worrying when & where the killer will pop out. The playing of the readers emotions like a rollercoaster using her characters is on point. NEGATIVE: I almost gave it a 3 star rating because of the narration. With only one narrator reading the part for everyone it became EXTREMELY CONFUSING! In the book each character is talking in the first person so when listening to a chapter that has 4 characters all speaking or thinking (3 of these are men), yet the same woman's voice is used for each one,...! 😳 It was a bit bizarre to try and follow. I did finally catch on once I knew the characters & story well but it did hinder the story itself. Regardless,... I still loved the book & AI hopefully can be programmed to take on each character in the future.
