Honestly, it's been agonisingly slow for the past few months. Much slower than the website; which is painful at the best of times, but this extraordinary in its lag. I've tested it across wifi and 5G and it's no better either way. Speed tests are decent enough and I have no other online lag issues so I'm not sure what's going on with Wikipedia right now for Australia.

The interface in the app is just not as good as the website, and takes away features that even the mobile website has. My issues: Minimizing sections of the article is not available. The "quick facts" with dates, family, occupations, etc. is hidden by default. The tabs view isn't good, I don't want to adjust how much of each tab I see, I don't want to swipe tabs away like it's a dating app, there needs to be more contrast or a border between tabs. Needs a read in new tab button

This app used to be perfect until the redesign, now some pages can be scrolled horisontally as the text doesn't seem to format correctly and the back button on Android (s23) simply closes the app or goes back to some page you were on ages ago. Before it would simply go back to the previous article or whatever was viewed previously. What a shame.
