- You can view and transfer images in your camera from your smartphone even when the camera is turned off. *2
- After transferring, you can immediately share your high quality images on social networks or through email.

■ Remote shooting of a camera using a smartphone
- You can capture photos/videos remotely while checking the live view of a camera on a smartphone. *3
This is convenient for capturing night views or water flowing scenes which need long-exposure, or macro shooting in which you need to avoid to directly touch the camera.
*3 Models that support PlayMemories Camera Apps can use this feature by installing "Smart Remote Control" (in-camera app) on your camera in advance.

■ Record location information
- With cameras that have a location information linkage function, the location information acquired by the smartphone can be added to the captured image in your camera.
For supported models and detailed operation methods, see the support page below.

- Even with cameras that do not have a location information linkage function, it is possible to add location information acquired by your smartphone to the photos saved on your smartphone during remote shooting.

You can also apply a saved setting to a camera. *4
*4 See here for supported cameras. Save and Apply Settings are supported only for cameras with the same model name.

Doesn't work. I wasted 20 minutes trying to connect to the camera, until another review mentioned to connect the phone to the camera's wlan. When it finally connected and showed the camera's view, none of the pictures were actually taken! I pressed the shutter over 10 times and nothing happened, even though the app made it look like the pictures were taken!

The app is trash, but some people may find it useful for some cases. Most of people would use it for transferring photos, but the only available photo size is 640x480, 2MP or "original" which means 33MP RAW on my alpha... feels like Sony is stuck in 90s. The app is unstable, keeps disconnecting and restarting when you minimize it. Connecting geolocation data via bluetooth is not intuitive and showing as being turned off all the time (despite being enabled). Summary: it's a sony!

Had problems after updating but uninstalling and reinstalling got it working again with my a6000. 2 gripes: 1) This app requies Location Info turned on in System settings just to open the app (not just Location permission), so I have to reveal my location even if I just want to transfer photos or take photos with no GPS data. 2) Despite that, it has no function to capture location data and later sync it with photos taken straight on the camera. Still need 3rd party apps for that.

What's new

- Improved the issue where the app would terminate abnormally on certain smartphones.
