Awesome simple little server. Also, I noticed another review said it didn't list file contents, but it does seem to do that now (or at least it does do that on my phone) Pair this with a hotspot (or WiFi Direct hotspot) and you can share video files stored on your phone with people during a boring stretch in a road trip). I know the description says it's not designed to stream media, but my mp4s played in browser just fine. Kinda like your own inflight movie service :)

Simple, small and exactly what it says on the tin. I downloaded 'Lessons in Electric Circuits' from ibiblio. My four "open with"s won't load the pics. I have Duckduckgo and Firefox, but neither appear in my "open with"s. I tried multiple html viewers and editors, as well as "open with" editors, all either failing when offline or to add my app preferences; then I thought, "Is there a basic web server for Android?" YES THERE IS! All I had do was change the folder and extension (htm->html)!

It works great running a small web based html page from a USB, I use it as a personal intranet page between all my devices. I use it to access files that I need on the go but they contain sensitive info. I was having trouble getting it to run efficiently on android in chrome . I used to search through the folders of the pafe in the past and access files felt so tiring. Now I just put my USB in wait a couple seconds and hit my shortcut to the page and it runs like I was on my office PC.
