Great in theory but ultimately useless; you can't remove restaurants that have been closed for 6+ months and saved filters often reset after closing the app. categories are extremely limited and need to be expanded ("pizza" is not even listed and pizza is not Italian). If you want to add hours for a business you must do each day individually. there also needs to be a feature to spotlight places vegans should avoid. also the button to add a new business is not intuitive.

Hi Michelle, Pizza is listed as a category, not a cuisine type. We rely on members like you to submit updates if a business is closed, pls do! I really love this app but it's become impossible to use. It shows me as logged in but as soon as I try to do anything it asks me to log in. So I try, but it says my pw is invalid. So I go through the process of resetting my pw, and once again it won't accept it. So I try to contact them, and guess what? They want my password to proceed! No option to select login problems. So it's a loop they created themselves to prevent me from using it, and that's a terrible user experience, to say the least.

Very useful app. It is, however, frustrating when I zoom in to an area that I want to search, click the "search here" button, and the map then zooms back out to a much wider view. What is the point of a button that says "search here" if it searches a much wider area than I am interested in?

Based on your feedback HappyCow is NOW FREE for all Android users! Previously, some features were only available to those who upgraded to the premium version. We understand that these features are important to our users, so we've made them available to everyone.
To support the HappyCow, there will now be a brief ad when you load the app unless you already upgraded.
We're still working on making the iOS app free, and appreciate your patience as we explore sustainable ways to fund the project.
