It's good. The story is fun and the character building depth is just enough for a game like this. Items add a layer on top, there are no must-have items for a build to work, it feels pretty well balanced. It's a too easy to get money (exiting a dungeon you just entered will cause you to lose 0 and gain 30+. And the 1%-of-your-current-gold per completion makes for easy infinite money). And the advanced mode is actually easier, so you're either playing less tactical or too easy. Still a good game.

I like the idea, but the prices are a little high for a simple indie game like this, and while it doesn't require you to spend money it also doesn't make me want to so it feels a bit greedy. Also the ads aren't too intrusive but the specific ads themselves are of the red flag variety. Last issue is the way combat and world events quickly hinder/overwhelm you, even when you still have sanity and gold to spend, and it says you will die and learn, but there's no lesson, just death and poverty.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Minimal additions to a straight text interface (buttons and a variable-size square grid) enable an interesting story to be told without any use of a keyboard and without the development distraction of animation or rendering. (We don't need no stinkin' graphics!) The download is tiny, too.
