The official Google Photos app is made for the way you take photos today and includes essential features like shared albums, automatic creations and an advanced editing suite. Additionally every Google Account comes with 15 GB of storage and you can choose to automatically back up all your photos and videos in High quality or Original quality. You can then access them from any connected device and on photos.google.com.
With the official app, you get:

It's a good app, but Google is doing way too much automated display changes to photos, which destroys any editing capabilities. They've made it impossible to take a photo, edit it, and have that same photo display the same after posting it to social media. It's infuriating to spend so much time editing photos and not see that represented after posting. The upscaling or whatever they're doing is so slow that you can see it happen 2 seconds after selecting a photo!

Hi Jarrett. You can add filters, crop photos, and more on your mobile device or computer. To edit photos on your mobile device, use the Google Photos app. Some features aren't available on web. I want to like it but too many issues. Whenever I try to back up photos the phone will infinitely try to back up the photos without actually doing it. It is not an issue based on Internet speed and has occurred on multiple android phones. I don't know how to fix it and I have tried everything. Uninstalling, force stopping, clearing cache, turning backup on and off and it will fix the issue temporarily before ultimately coming back and being very frustrating. It also drains battery while idle.

Google Photos is a great app! However I would like to make one suggestion regarding the sync option. It's very nice that photos and videos sync across various devices, my suggestion would be for folders to sync up as well. Having the exact same folders with the same photos and videos across different devices would be amazing. This can be done in a toggle maner, this way, users that don't like this change can just switch the toggle off. Thank you for reading and best regards.
