I've had the areuters app for years. To me, it is hands down the best news source. 90% of the time they tend to publish the news without being politically biased unlike some others. However, this upgrade in the app published June of 24 is just terrible, whoever they had design it should be fired. The headlines are massive font, you can no longer zoom in on pics, and the ads look too much like the news, what were they thinking in the redesign, the old app was just fine.

I used to love this app because it was so straightforward and unobtrusive, but the newest update is a travesty. Every headline is a different font size and weight, and the articles are displayed in different sized text boxes scattered across the screen. It's like it was built for children, except there are sleazy ads flashing all over it. Update: you've added a scrolling ticker? Some of us can't concentrate with rhythmic movement in our eyeline. This app is now completely unusable.

Since the update, the widget is no longer available and the app design is like social media (which I do not use), with large text and LOADS of scrolling just to read headlines. I no longer use Reuters for my news. Is there an option to view headlines in a list form as with the previous version of the app, with no pictures or video, as currently my phone screen is taken up by one headline at a time? Sorry, but for me it's a poor layout which has pushed me away from Reuters.

Hi Simon, thanks for the very detailed and sensible feedback on your user experience. You can go to Menu -> Cog -> Preferences -> "Hide images on feed" that will present you with a leaner experience. We're hoping to bring back the widget very soon. Please feel free to email me directly at dan.v@tr.com I'm always happy to hear more!
