Honestly I really like the UI, the app feels speedy and nice to use. But my main complaint is the news that's available. I was just looking for general global/international news but I had to select a country and it seemed to only want to show me specific news local to the country. I wouldn't have an issue with that normally but I'm from the UK and the app is missing some pretty major news companies. Like where is the BBC? Or the Guardian? Also why is there no option for tech or science news?

I attempted to go to an article. As it opened I got to see about 2 seconds of the news and pop ups for google play and other ads took over my phone and I had to force stop Opera News app in order to get my phone back....uninstalling Opera News...talk to me when you consider the news more important than your advertisements!

I've used Google News for years, but wanted to look into other news aggregator apps. As this has a 4.5/5 and the Opera browser has a good rep, I gave it a shot. Well, it's just inconceivably horrible in so many ways. Starting with, how the actual hell did you decide that MOST of these stock "news outlets" have a speck of legitimacy? Some wrestling site with political articles? UNILAD? So so many... Clickbait is rampant in the main feed? No indication of when an article was published? GARBAGE.
