August James

August James was born on August 9, 2011 at 8:54am. At 9 pounds 4 ounces and 21 inches, he is another BIG one. For me, this was the first time that the baby came out and was directly handed to me. Both Keller and Vera had meconium and were given to the nurses to make sure that they were okay. It also marked the first time that J got to cut the umbilical cord (same reason).

Wow, it was such a wild sensation to have him inside me one second and screaming his little baby roar lying on my stomach the next.

Proud Daddy!

First glimpse of the baby!

A family of 5 looks really big. :)

Fiesta Parade - Viva la Fiesta!!

The munchkins first time in a parade and they loved it!

Keller would have been on the scooter the entire time, he grudgingly gave it up for sister to have a turn at the very end of the parade.

That, that is a HUGE belly! I don't think wearing a dress helps the situation.

My girl!

A view to really capture the entire fiesta outfit.

Goobers

Rough day here, being 9 months pregnant has turned me into an emotional wreck, then I saw this picture again. Ahhh...I can handle another one, right? :)

Viva la Fiesta!

It is that time again in Santa Barbara, Fiesta is here and we are ready! Fiesta officially opens Wednesday night at the Mission at 8pm, in the dark. Uhmmm...as you may know, the kiddos in this family make it to about 7:30 before there eyes start to get red and their heads began to nod, not to mention drastic changes in their temperaments. That and the fact that two kids running around in the dark at an event in opposite directions is one of my worst nightmares, means that we haven't seen the ceremony since either was born.

But, when a friend emailed that they were going to watch the Fiesta rehearsal on Tuesday and that it started at 5pm...we were so there. It ended up being a little later than that, but with no announcers and the event flowing from one dance straight into the next, it was very kid friendly.

Plus, lots of room for the boys to run and play.

Once the dancing started, all kiddos were enthralled.

See!

Of course, both girls (and Keller) now want to be Fiesta Flower Girls and Vera gave J a flamenco performance when we got home.

I'd like S'more please!
