Posting

Ugh! How many days have passed since my last post? I had every intention of posting each day of the last week, but to be honest, things (I) have been a little bit funky. Our house is for sale, which means keeping it tidy and organized in case it is to be shown. As you can well imagine, that task is incredibly easy with three kiddos running around destroying anything and everything that I just tidied.

Then, there is the entire process of looking for a place to rent. We started off with a list of priorities, but after looking at a slew of houses, the list is evolving and changing even as I sit here. Do we make a school district the top priority or a yard for the kids. I will say this, I feel a freedom that I haven't felt in years. We can move anywhere. It is stressful and a roller coaster of an experience, but my fingers are still crossed that the perfect situation will arrive before we have to leave our current place.

So, the funk, I have high hopes that it will be over soon. August has been getting up 4-6 times a night and I had that feeling...will it ever end? Lo and behold, Gussers broke through two teeth today. Things are already starting to look up.

Loving Winter

A day on the beach in winter was just what this family needed on Saturday. With Nonni and Nonno in town for the weekend, we hauled all kiddos and gear to sit on the sand for a bit. We then had the nerve to complain that it was a bit windy and chilly...love living in Santa Barbara.





Believe it or not, Gus took his first trip to the beach.

Puzzle Mania

All weekend, it has been puzzle mania. Jan attended a competition in SF recently where teams of 4 competed to finish a 1000 piece puzzle first and so brought down a puzzle for us to work on. We started off with a 250 piece one (seen below) and then moved onto a 750 one, which we just finishd.

Swinging!

Baby swings come in incredibly handy when you are at a park where the baby would want to eat every wood chip off of the ground.

P.S. We were at a Halloween themed birthday party, in February, LOVE IT!

Yep, I fully dressed my kiddos in matching outfits for our visit to the Presidio, just in case I could get a good shot of the three kiddos.

Country Boy

First Sewing Project!

Oh, probably a year ago, J bought me a sewing machine and we both had high hopes that I would be this amazing and crafty sewing mama. Fast forward to this week and I finally have time to start my new hobby. August is a drool champion and my first project = cool bibs for the little guy. My first attempts were too small and made August look like a cross between a circus clown and a court jester (good thing I cut out 5 bibs of the first pattern,ugh). My second attempt = me realizing that sewing a circular shape might not have been the best idea for a first project. Here though, here is my third attempt with my very willing and adorable model.
