Wanted: Weapons of Fate Achievements / Trophies

Completed Act 1-9 - Easy/Assassin/The Killer
These are self-explanatory, and make up a large portion of the achievements in the game. Beating an act on a higher difficulty will unlock the achievements for the lower difficulties, but The Killer difficulty is locked until you beat the game on Assassin, so either way you'll have to play through the game at least twice to get all these. Completing the game on The Killer is a prerequisite for a number of other achievements as well. Consult the walkthrough for specific tips.

Other incidental achievements that are satisfied in the course of completing the game on various difficulties include: I am in Control; I have it in my Blood; Ready to play with the big boys; Fully Trained Assassin; The Killer; and No More Anxiety Attacks.

All in the Reflexes
To do this, you just have to shoot down three enemies with an Enhanced Quick Move. Obviously, to do this, you must have reached the point in the game where you can perform this move, and have enough Adrenaline to use it.

We found the ideal place to go for this achievement is the very first area of Act 6. There are a lot of fairly fragile enemies that rush in this stage, it's at the very beginning of the level and thus easy to start over and try again, and there's a lot of room to move. The bell tower in the final stage also has good opportunities with the hanging guys, but this is near the end of a very long level. Also note that this is easier to do on lower difficulties, because your EQM lasts longer.

Between Old Friends
This is one of a few achievements that you'll need to use a code to access. Note that performance enhancing cheats will disable achievements but character unlocks and mode unlocks will not. The code to unlock Cross as an independent character is "01010100." Play Chapter 9 on The Killer (you must have reached this level on this difficulty first) with Cross and finish the last boss to earn this.

Boom!/Pest Exterminator
There are six Explosive Rats throughout the game. These blink red and beep, and thus are easily confused for mines, but if you get close to them, they're rats strapped with bombs. When you kill one you'll get the "Boom!" achievement, and when you kill all six, you'll get "Pest Exterminator." You'll find one Explosive Rat each in stages 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, and 9. Consult the walkthrough for exact locations of all six rats.

Bullet Curving Trainee/Expert
This one is pretty self explanatory. You get the Trainee award for killing 10 people with curved bullets and the Expert for nailing 100. The former you'll surely get incidentally from just playing, and most people will get the latter that way as well. If you do need to pump up your numbers, do it in the early stages where curved bullets are almost sure-fire kills. Act 2 is ideal.

Butcher Would be Proud
This is another one you need a code for. "01100101" unlocks Close Combat mode, which makes you fight nearly all enemies with close-combat kills. It's not as hard as it sounds, and if you complete this mode on any difficulty, you'll earn this reward.

Catch me if you can
Beat the game in under an hour and 12 minutes. This would be one of the more difficult achievements, but luckily there's a glitch/exploit that makes it much easier. First, you must beat the game on The Killer difficulty to unlock Time Attack mode. Then, start a game in this new mode, play to the first checkpoint after the cut scene where the game saves, and then exit to the title screen. Go to the Unlocked Acts menu, select the final stage, and stick with the default character and Killer difficulty. If you can finish in under an hour and change, she's all yours.

Collector Nerd/Compulsive Hoarder
You get the former for grabbing 10 of the scatter gallery unlocks, and the latter for getting all of them. There are tons of these, so this one is going to be one of the tougher achievements. Luckily, we've marked every one of these items for you in our detailed walkthrough, so consult that for details.

Dr. Lobotomy
Unlock Headshot Mode using the code " 01100111." This mode is one of the more challenging, and if you can get through it, you'll be able to wear this badge of honor.

Glad I wasn't there
To get this you need to kill three enemies with one explosive bullet. This is the curved bullet technique performed with Cross' Fire Eater guns, and it can be performed by Wesley as well if he's using Cross' guns. The impact creates a small explosion. Unlike the "Two is better than one" achievement, you don't really need the trajectory to pass through three bullets. The easiest way to get this achievement is to launch a Shrapnel Storm at or near an explosive tank so that it takes out a few enemies. The beginning of Act 6 and the Bell Tower of Act 9 are once again ideal places to do this.

Half the man Barry is
This is an easy one, but it's easy to miss. After the bullet-time sequence in the first chapter, chase the SWAT leader up the flight of stairs and go out onto the roof. To your left there are some window, and there's a blonde woman banging on the one all the way to the right from the inside. Shoot her dead.

Heart Breaker
This is a pretty boring one. Use the code "01000011" to unlock Wesley (no mask) and then use this character to play Act 7 (you can skip to it from the Unlocked Acts menu) on The Killer difficulty. You may not start on a lower difficulty and change before the boss battle. You must beat the entire chapter on The Killer.

Kill one, save a thousand donuts
In Act 5, kill the first couple enemies and advance toward the way ahead. Turn around and look at the area above. You can't really see her, but use your lock on to find Janice (see image for reference). Fire a curved bullet her way, and cross this one off your list.

Punishing Subordinates
More filler. For this you must have already beaten the game to unlock The Immortal as a playable character and reached at least Act 3 on The Killer difficulty. Play Act 3 entirely on The Killer difficulty, and then when you get to The Russian, make your way down to his end of the stage as usual, and then go right and up the stairs. Rush him and then knife him when you get close. It's an easy kill.

Shrapnel Storm Expert
You have to kill 80 enemies with bullet explosions for this. Since you only get the Fire Eaters late in the game, this one might take some work or multiple plays to earn.

Two is always better than one
This is pretty easy to do if you're trying. It works best in the early stages when enemies are weak. You just need to find two enemies standing next to each other, lock on to one with a curved bullet, and manipulate the path until both enemies are white. We found the part in the middle of Act 2 where the objective changes to "Clear a path for Alyse" to be one of the best opportunities for this, but as long as you're aware of it, there will be many opportunities.

Up Close and Personal
For this you just need to perform 15 close range executions. Close combat kills are easy one-hitters, so you should make it a habit to do this whenever you can anyway. Even some bosses can be killed this way. Even if you didn't make it a habit, 15 is not a high number to hit after the fact.
