Word came down at noon EST via Twitter with a brief statement from Io: "We've teased you enough! Check out the new teaser for the next game in the Hitman series! Bring the love. :)"

No details on the game were announced (story, platforms, release dates), but Io Interactive did confirm it will be at this year's E3, likely bringing oodles of Hitman Absolution info with it. We'll keep you posted.
Sharkey says: Last we heard, the game was set to be linked to an in-development movie from 20th Century Fox. This is based on a story from last year, but it appears the new movie is set for release in 2012 -- which would also slot the game for a 2012 release. All speculation at this point. We'll likely find out for certain at E3 next month.
