At E3 way back in June, Microsoft provided a fairly detailed look at the Kinect-controlled exotic car exploration Forza Motorsport 4 will provide. After months of silence, developer Turn 10 Studios is once again chatting up Forza 4, including the racer's planned launch window.

Billed as the "definitive racing game of 2011," Forza Motorsport 4 will bring together the racing franchise, Kinect, and content from UK television sensation Top Gear to provide gamers with a truly unique experience. See how the game is shaping up below:

Turn 10 Studios clarified that the racing component of Forza 4 will be controlled using the standard Xbox 360 controller. Kinect will be used by true car porn fanatics, allowing players to explore some of the worlds greatest super cars inside and out with the motion sensor.

Forza Motorsport 4 is an Xbox 360 exclusive and set for launch sometime in fall 2011.

Sharkey says: I know that Turn 10 experimented with using Kinect for motion controlled racing, and I think the developer made the right decision opting for standard-controller controls rather than holding an invisible steering wheel in the air.
