The recently released Operation Anchorage downloadable content update for Fallout 3 will have to keep gamers entertained for longer than planned. Apparently, the next two content updates are both delayed by several weeks. When approached for comment, a Bethesda representative went on the record saying that, "the next DLC for Fallout 3, The Pitt, will be out in March. Broken Steel will be out the following month, in April."

Gerald: Not really a big deal, as far as I'm concerned. The Pitt should be a more expansive update to the game, as it expands the playable area outside the Capital Wasteland into Pittsburgh, and a delay to get things right sounds reasonable.

Broken Steel is what I'm really looking forward to, as it will extend the original game, stripping out the current (disappointing) ending and allowing for more juicy leveling. I really hope a whole new set of perks are added for those extra levels, though it'll be hard to top the fan-created Grim Reaper's Sprint, which entireyl stripped out any sort of difficulty from the combat.

The Pitt is an idea that needs to be expanded upon as far as I'm concerned. I would love to play a Fallout game that took place in a virtual United States, coast-to-coast, a persistent world with other characters banding together to survive the apocalypse. This Fallout MMO would probably be more awesome than even I could handle.
