In an interview with MTV's Multiplayer Blog, Todd Howard, Executive Producer of Bethesda's Fallout 3, talked a bit about some of the lessons that the development team learned during the making of the game. While he didn't officially announce Fallout 4, Bethesda has dropped numerous hints that there will most likely be more Fallout games in its future, and Howard did mention a few things that he would have done differently if he could do it all over again.

"Greatest lesson? Don't let the game end, and don't have a level cap," he said, addressing complaints from players that, unlike the company's popular The Elder Scrolls games, Fallout 3 didn't allow them to keep playing after finishing the main quest. Thankfully, the latter issue will be addressed with the third piece of DLC that's being released for the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game, which will up the level cap to 30.

Only time will tell if we'll see a proper sequel to Fallout 3, but it's obvious that the folks at Bethesda are thinking long and hard about what they can do to build on their successes.
