Champions Online is a superheroic MMO project by the creators of City of Heroes, designed to give players the power of total customization of their hero experience while they explore a vast universe of richly detailed 3D environments. The game features literally billions of character options allowing total customization, real-time action combat and of course the richly detailed Champions universe.
Cryptic Studios has released a new movie from its upcoming MMORPG Champions Online which goes into detail regarding some of the main bosses that you'll be expected to best when you play. Based on the Champions pen-and-paper RPG, players will be able to craft their own superheroes from literally billions of character options.

Champions online has been delayed from July 14th to September 1st. Bill Roper, Design Director and Executive Producer for the title, said that the developers had to delay the game in order to implement all of the features that they wanted to be in the game at launch.
The beta is still going on and will continue, and on the official website the developers simply say that, for players, the delay will just mean a "more polished game at launch." Read More »
Champions Online is Cryptic Studios' second time around the block when it comes to superhero MMOs. Maybe that's why the experienced developer has been able to keep the project on track when other comic book-styled MMOs have floundered.
