We weren't expecting to see the debut Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer trailer until the CoD convention kicked off today at 10 a.m. PST, but it's live, and hey, we'll take it.

Featuring action from the perspective of players with various loadouts or "Strike Packages," the debut MW3 multiplayer trailer also has a few reveals of its own, with Strike Chains, and new turrets, traps, and... dog tags? See for yourself below:



We'll have answers and more details for you when Activision officially rolls out the MW3 multiplayer today at Call of Duty XP.

Modern Warfare 3 is in development for Windows PCs, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. The game is set for launch on November 8.


Spy Guy says: Hmmm. Strike Packages labeled Assault and Support. Will this be CoD's simplified take on classes? And it appears Killstreaks are now Strike Chains and are point-based rather than kill-based. We'll know for sure later today. What did you see in the trailer?
