EA's about to release a new playable demo of its upcoming action sequel Army of Two: The 40th Day on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. On December 17th, gamers will be able to grab the one-level demo, which sees Salem and Rios trapped in Shanghai as it comes under siege. A PSP demo will follow on January 7th in North America and on the 14th in Europe.
"THE 40TH DAY is non-stop action in an explosive Shanghai. The game has been designed with a focus on co-op gameplay and it has been our goal to refine this core experience in all aspects of the game," said executive producer Reid Schneider. "The demo will give players the opportunity to experience this evolution and the new co-op moves and tactics available to players at any time in the game."
If you pre-order the game now you'll have advance access to the game's new bonus multiplayer mode "Extraction" on day one of retail release. Other players will have to wait exactly one month before they can get their hands on it.

Rios and Salem, at it again.

Bryn says: I never "got" the first game, preferring the gameplay offered by the likes of Gears of War. The characters were just too over-the-top for me. But I'm hearing good things about the sequel, so maybe it's time to give the demo a shot. Will you be grabbing it two days from now?
