We reported back in July that both Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey jumped ship from EA's Visceral Studios and were headed to a new gig at Activision Blizzard.

The pair -- who are best known for their work on the excellent Dead Space -- are now officially heading up Acti's newly named Sledgehammer Games and apparently are already hard at work on an unannounced game.
Activision Publishing, Inc. today announced the appointments of industry veterans Glen A. Schofield as Vice President and General Manager and Michael Condrey as Vice President and COO of Sledgehammer Games, a new wholly-owned game development studio located in Foster City, California. Sledgehammer Games is currently in development on an as-yet-unannounced new videogame.
Given their history at EA, it's not inconceivable that Schofield and Condrey will craft a new intellectual property which could be in a similar vein to that of Dead Space or Dante's Inferno.

Giz a cuddle... Dead Space -- the duo's former work at EA.

Bryn says: I'm sitting here torturing myself trying to think of an Activision franchise that compares to either survival horror or just general horror. And I can't. Given these chaps' sterling work on Dead Space, perhaps they will concentrate on bringing a new game to the Acti stable in a similar genre? Guitar Hero meets The House of the Dead please.
