EA Bright Light

EAUK Bright Light (along with studio neighbor EA Criterion Games) was located in Guildford (near London). A merging of EA UK's previous development efforts in the casual videogamer market, EA Bright Light was home to, amongst other projects, the Harry Potter series of games. Working very closely with Warner Bros. and author J.K. Rowling, the EAUK team ensured gamers got the definitive Harry Potter experience. In addition to Harry Potter, the team worked on Hasbro licensed properties and other projects.

EAUK Bright Light had a rich history of success with roots going back to Bullfrog (acquired by EA in 1995 and renowned for classics such as Dungeon Keeper, Theme Park, Populous, and Syndicate.)

In late 2011, with the Harry Potter franchise having wound down and other EA Bright Light seeing disappointing audience turnouts, parent company Electronic Arts closed the studio.
