Secret Level, Inc., created original game titles, tools, and technologies for the console entertainment industry. The company was founded in late 1999, and was located near SBC Park in San Francisco.
On April 3, 2006, Secret Level was acquired by SEGA as a key development team for the company after it had already begun work for SEGA on titles for next-gen systems. After the release of its first two major projects, the company was absorbed into SEGA as part of its short-lived Sega Studios San Francisco operations.
The classic SEGA arcade franchise is reborn on next-gen consoles.
