Blitz Games has grown to become one of the premier and prolific development groups in the industry, producing titles across virtually every known platform. The company is located in Leamington Spa, just one and a half hours north of London.
Blitz is split up in to 4 separate divisions which develop a wide variety of different content. Blitz Games focuses on family games, Volatile on games tending towards mature content, Blitz Arcade creates smaller downloadable titles, and TruSim develops interactive applications and videogames for professional use (including training applications for military, health industry, government, corporate business and education operations.)
Blitz Games was established in 1991 by Philip & Andrew Oliver (aka "The Oliver Twins"). The Olivers started writing games as early as 1981, with the first published games appearing in 1984, including the Dizzy and the Simulator series and Ghostbusters II. The company the duo started was formerly known as Interactive Studios, and the name was changed to Blitz Games in 1999.
