The long-awaited fourth entry in the Street Fighter series. Street Fighter IV features a mix of returning favorites such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Guile along with new characters created for this game, such as Crimson Viper, Abel, El Fuerte, and Rufus. Characters and environments are rendered in stylized 3D, while the game is played in the classic Street Fighter 2D perspective with additional 3D camera flourishes. For a couple of weeks now rumors have been circulating in regards to a new Street Fighter IV sequel announcement. While some believed Capcom Japan would choose the Tokyo Game Show to out the secretive project, it looks as though tomorrow will be the day for the official reveal.

Both Sagat and Seth are overpowered according to a report from VideoGamer.com. The site recently hit up Capcom's assistant producer Ryota Niitsuma who admitted that the two Street Fighter IV characters "might have turned out a little bit stronger than we expected."

Capcom's Street Fighter IV is getting an update on April 24th which will patch a new championship mode into the popular fighting game. Coming to both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, the new mode will give players the chance to compete in tournaments and watch replays of the best fights from tourny matches.
"Championship Mode offers you the chance to compete in 5 different grades of tournaments, creating the right challenge for players of every skill level. You'll score Grade Points (GP) for tournament wins, and as your GP total grows, you'll become eligible to enter into more exclusive tournaments. Winning tournaments will also net you Championship Points (CP). CP are like 'prize money' up for grabs in the tournament.
