A note from Square Enix's PR machine hit our inbox late yesterday telling us that the developer/publisher is now accepting beta test applications for Final Fantasty XIV. Only the PC version is currently in the market for new recruits, although PlayStation 3 users will have the chance to apply at a later date. Read More »
On Monday we reported on Japanese gaming magazine Shonen Jump teasing that a "campaign code" for Final Fantasy XIV will be included with the first printings of Final Fantasy XIII, but were left without details. The latest issue of Famistu magazine has somewhat cleared up the story.
According to a translation by Andriasang, the code is actually for an in-game "limited edition item." Sadly, the promotion is for Japanese copies of FF13 only, which includes the PS3 bundles.
