Here's one we never saw coming. Capcom's Chris Kramer has blogged about a new partnership between the Japanese publisher and American custom bike builders Savage Cycles. There's a plan afoot to manufacture a strictly limited edition run of Resident Evil choppers, with the first one rolling off the assembly line in early January.
The bike is low-slung and mean, armored but fast, with quick access to a number of "weapons" and items, such as an airsoft shotgun and pistol, "health sprays" and a combat knife strapped to the front fork. The exhaust pipes will be wrapped in heat-resitant black tape and slot into the armored fairing along the right side of the bike.

The front tire is narrow as a stiletto for quick turns, while the back wheel is as wide as a country road overrun by slavering undead. The finished product will also sport subtle Capcom, STARS and Resident Evil logos and details painted on to various spots.
We're not sure exactly how many RE choppers will be made, or how much they will cost, but these beauties will surely go down in videogame memorabilia history as one of the coolest, and probably most expensive, ways to show your love for a game.

The perfect antidote to the zombie apocalypse?

Bryn says: Now this is going to be one serious piece of videogaming kit. I can't imagine the average punter will be able to afford one of these beasts, but maybe Capcom will run a contest to give away a couple of these awesome machines. The question is who would want to ride this around town? Surely it'd be bait for the impending zombie masses that are just begging for the chance to run amok through the streets of America...
